Sixteen media students and two teachers spent a week at Bond University on the Gold Coast where students gained a valuable insight into the world of film. The annual Media Tour sees students spend four days in workshops where they develop their skills in cinematography, editing, sound recording, lighting and live television boardcast. The workshops are run by Bond University lecturers, all of whom are industry professionals, providing students with up to date skills, technology and a first-hand insight into an exciting industry. The students also toured the ABC’s Gold Coast Radio studios, spent a day at Movie World, and of course enjoyed the Gold Coast sights. The skills gained go a long way in helping the Year 11 and 12 media students in their future studies.
