Mercedes College is conveniently located in the heart of Perth’s CBD, which makes it easy to travel using Transperth buses or trains. All students are issued with a SmartRider card by the College.

This handy Transperth brochure provides a list of options for students travelling by bus to and from Mercedes College.

  • From Joondalup – Alight at Perth Underground Station (connect with Special School Bus or walk directly to school)
  • From Midland or Armadale – Alight at Perth Underground Station (connect with Special School Bus or walk directly to school) or alight at McIver Station (near Royal Perth Hospital and walk directly to school)
  • From Mandurah – Alight at Perth Underground Station (connect with Special School Bus or walk directly to school)
  • To Joondalup – Board at Perth Underground Station
  • To Midland or Armadale – Board at Perth Train Station or McIver Station
  • To Mandurah – Board at the Underground Station
  • 8.03am, 8.06am No.789 School Specials (Stands 9-12). Free Transit Zone – no fares.
  • 8.10am No.960 Public Bus departs from the Perth Busport (Stands 13-16).
  • Students should catch the Special in preference to all other buses in the morning.
  • 3.22pm, 3.25pm, 3.28pm – No. 789 School Special departs from Goderich Street outside Mercedes College stopping at Wellington Street (Royal Perth Hospital), Wellington Street / Pier Street South terminating at the Perth Busport. (Free Transit Zone – no fares).
  • Students should catch the special in preference to all other buses, unless departing school outside of normal hours.
  • To travel to Perth Station and Perth Busport, students have the option of:
    • Route 38, 220, 960 and Yellow CAT bus services from Bus Stop 12919 on Wellington St after Hill St. Approx 280m from where School Special 789 departs
    • Red CAT bus services from Bus Stop 16909 on Hay St after Hill St. Approx 290m from where School Special 789 departs
  • These stops are within the Free Transit Zone.
