Each year a small group of Year 11 students are selected to travel to the US to participate in the LEAP Conference in Los Angeles. LEAP (Leadership Excellence Accelerating Potential) is a program dedicated to helping young people worldwide learn skills to achieve success in life through activities focusing on goal-setting, mentorship, self-motivation, professionalism and advanced communication.
Phoebe Holmes, Mikaela Da Rui and Lauren Wolters travelled with seventeen other WA students to LA staying at the UCLA campus where they had use of the facilities and were able to experience what its like to be an American College student. The College has been involved in the program since 2010. The LEAP experience allows students to develop their skills and relationships with mentors and participants from Australia and all over the world.
