Leadership at its Best

Over 400 students performed in the House Performing Arts Festival at the Perth Concert Hall on Monday 8 April.  The student run festival is one of the most popular House events of the year.
This year’s theme, “Girl Power” gave the girls an opportunity to demonstrate the strength and empowerment of women, as well as the grace and inner beauty of women.  Congratulations to Frayne for winning the Drama/Dance Shield for their performance of “Women through Time”, and Cooper for winning the House Choir Shield with their beautiful performance of Salute by Little Mix.
The Festival is completely student led with students from Year 11 and 12 selected as Choir Directors, Drama Directors and Dance Choreographers. The leaders were sensational, particularly with their planning and clever use of Drama/Dance and Music techniques.  The judges, who said it was very difficult to select winners, were very impressed with the very high performance standard by all Houses.  Congratulations to all performers!
