A group of IT Angels relished a Minecraft incursion last week as part of the launch of their new club. The presentation by a Microsoft representative helped them explore the IT platform so that they can start to build their own site map of the College. Students had some wild ideas about how a future College might look but first with a skeleton replica map of the College embedded into their Minecraft server, students will over time build a replica campus map for use in future learning. The IT Angels are a co-curricular group of students who are selected each year by their peers to provide support in class for their fellow students and teachers for the College’s ‘Always Learning Anywhere Initiative’. They meet regularly with the Director of Learning Technologies, Mr Paul Reid to discuss Technological challenges in the classroom and share ideas on solutions and strategies to help solve problems.
