This year’s House Film Festival saw Frayne take out the Best Film and Best Director Awards. In front of a packed audience at the Cygnet Theatre on Wednesday 5 September six Houses battled it out for the prestigious film awards. All the Directors are to be commended on the outstanding films they produced, and the way they have represented their Houses throughout the lengthy process. All films were very well receved by the audience. The judges commented on the importance of young women telling their stories and being involved in the film industry.
Awards were presented across many categories, most notably Holly Cuthbertson took out Best Director and Best Film – congratulations to Holly and the whole of Frayne House.
Also screened were highlights of some of the fantastic work from the Year 8 to 12 Media students, including reality television from the Year 9s, music videos from the Year 11s, some Year 12 art films, and more.
Frayne House takes home the Felix Award!
