Mercedes College celebrated Mercy Day in conjunction with our 175th Anniversary on Friday 24 September, the final day of Term 3. Celebrations began with a Mass at St Mary’s Cathedral to commemorate the Sisters of Mercy story and their humble beginnings. It was a privilege to have some of the Sisters of Mercy in attendance during Mass to celebrate with us.
Following the Mass, students had a shared lunch back on the College grounds, where students began to set-up their stalls for more Mercy Day fun. There were a variety of different stalls, from food to fun and games. This was also the final opportunity for our Years 12s to be on campus, and their final Mercy Day celebration as students at Mercedes. The highlight of the day was the beloved Mercy Day concert which saw fantastic performances from both students and teachers. It was truly a Mercy Day to remember!
