On Friday evening, 27 August, the Young Mercies hosted Fashion for Compassion, a fashion show to raise funds for Mercy Works. Mercy Works supports long term development projects, working with some of the most challenged people in Australia and the South-East Asia Pacific region, improving health, enhancing social wellbeing, and expanding educational opportunities. The night was a fun and enjoyable event. Over 200 guests were treated to a fantastic fashion show, talented Mercedes singers, delicious food and drinks and were given a chance to win a variety of prizes in the Fashion for Compassion Raffle.
The evening was a great event and raised an incredible $4,900. Thank you to all the guests and the school community for your generous contributions. Many thanks to Nadine Clarke (12.5), Sophie Carroll(12.4), Grace Tumaini (12.4), Mrs Vicki Hinks, Mrs Bernadette Dell and Mrs Margie Toth for all your time and effort to ensure this event ran so smoothly. Thank you to all the helpers and the Young Mercies who dedicated their time and effort, this event would have been impossible without you.
