Politics and Law Students

Posted on 11/11/2020

A small group of Year 10 students from the Crime option class and 11 Politics and Law students had an amazing opportunity in November when they were invited to join their Trinity College peers for a very special presentation by the prosecution team from the Claremont Serial Killing trial.  Carmel Barbagallo, Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, the lead prosecutor; Detective Senior Sergeant Marapodi, one of the lead investigators, and others from the prosecution team provided students with an insight into the ‘trial of the century’ and the role of the prosecutor in bringing ‘spotlight’ cases into the court.  This was the first time the team had presented to a school audience and the students were fascinated hearing about the long running police investigation and trial.
