Travelling to the Gravity Discovery Centre in Gingin to take part in the Gravity Discovery Center Education program.
Participate in Round 2 of the Brain Bee Challenge. 4 Year 10 Students will be invited to the Neuroscience labs at UWA for a full day excursion of hands on activities, information sessions, student and careers presentations, neuroscience demonstrations and a tour of the Anatomy Museum human brain collection.
Done over two days and two periods so will depend on TT structure
This excursion supports the endorsed course Powering Careers in Energy. Students are exposed to possible careers in the the resource sector as well as new STEM technologies. Year 10 PCiE Classes
Human Biology students will examine why humans are classified as ‘primates’ and the evolutionary trends within this order. Psychology students will explore how learning theories are applied to the care and management of Zoo animals, including examples of classical conditioning, operant conditioning, systematic desensitisation and social learning theory.

Year 10 PCiE - Energy Exploration Day Year 10 students will be immersed in the occupational health and safety culture within Chevron and will undertake science and engineering experiences associated with energy production, as well as have the opportunity to experience the workplace first-hand and work alongside Chevron personnel to complete projects and activities.
