Mercedes College is proud to partner with UNIQ You, a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to empowering young women to explore careers in industries where women are underrepresented. Through this program, our students gain access to authentic learning experiences and meaningful conversations with female professionals working in STEM and other diverse fields.

The partnership provides unlimited resources, funded by industry partners such as Rio Tinto, ensuring our students and staff can connect with inspirational women across a range of roles. Interactive sessions are integrated into the curriculum, including Year 9–12 classes in Mathematics, Science, and Futures Week, as well as targeted mentoring opportunities. Students also engage in virtual and in-person events such as speed networking and one-on-one conversations, helping them make informed decisions about their future pathways.

UNIQ You also invites Mercedes College to participate in focus groups and case studies, ensuring student voices shape the program’s impact and growth. These sessions highlight the real difference the program makes in building confidence and expanding career horizons for girls in our community.
