We are proud to partner with Gold Fields in their inspiring Futures Bursary Program, designed to encourage young women to pursue STEM studies and careers. This initiative, supported by our Science Department and guided by our Head of Science, has been running for four years, with four of our talented students already receiving this prestigious bursary.
Gold Fields, a global leader in sustainable mining, is deeply committed to fostering diversity and innovation in STEM. Recognising the need to address the gender gap in technical STEM roles, they have developed a suite of education and training initiatives, including the Futures Bursary Program. This program, open to Year 10 students studying STEM subjects in upper school and now in its second year of expansion, offers $32,000 over five years to each recipient, supporting their journey through Years 11 and 12 and the first three years of tertiary STEM studies. Beyond financial support, students gain mentorship from Gold Fields employees, industry exposure, and networking opportunities.
This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering innovation, diversity, and excellence in STEM education, empowering our students to shape a sustainable and inclusive future.
