The beautiful weather set the tone for the annual Interhouse Athletics Carnival on June 17. 850 students from Years 7-12 arrived at the State Athletics Centre ready for a great day of fun and competition. The Houses battled it out in track and field events and showed tremendous spirit and collaboration, working together in the novelty team events.
With excellence as one of our Mercy values, it was great to see girls having a go, supporting each other, and giving their absolute best to all events. The 4x100m Relays provided an exciting finish as all Houses competed for the final points. The Year 12s saw their last carnival as a great opportunity to ensure they gave 100% as they shone in the Staff vs Student Relay. 
Thanks go to our House Teacher Leaders, who played a vital role in organising competitors into their events. Also to our superb PE team and teachers who ensured the carnival ran smoothly and to all parents who joined us as spectators.
