Last Friday I had the absolute privilege of watching our College production of Bring It On: The Musical. The talent, professionalism and polish of the show was simply superb. The star-quality energy of the wonderful actors was palpable. Congratulations must go to all those involved in the production of this amazing event.




Language week celebrations have been taking place this week. Students and staff were immersed in fun and educational activities arranged by our Languages Department, designed to promote language learning and cultural appreciation. These events included Bocce, a Crepe Van, Tombola and a Gelato Van.


Our students have participated in numerous events these past two weeks. The NZ Music Tour group returned with a Gold Level III Ranking, Year 12 Geography students explored our city, Team MCqueen competed in the inaugural Horizon Educational Hydrogen Grand Prix, and students continued to demonstrate their sporting skills. A reminder that Year 7 students have their immunisations next week on Thursday 8 August. Please ensure the vaccination form has been completed prior to this date using the following link; consentpublic (health.wa.gov.au). Students have permission to wear their sports uniform with white PE shirt on this date.
Students are reminded that our Formal Photo Day, session 2, is on Monday 19 August for all Year 10s (class and individual photos), class 8.5 (class photos only) as well as some speciality photos. Sibling photos will also be taken, as well as individual student photos if they were absent for the previous photo day in June.
On behalf of the Department of Education, I wish to confirm information regarding the increase to the Secondary Assistance Scheme Clothing Allowance. On 1 July 2024, the Hon Roger Cook MLA, Premier of Western Australia, announced an increase in the SAS clothing allowance from $115 to $300 in 2024 and 2025 for eligible low-income families. Eligible applicants who have previously received a $115 clothing allowance in 2024 will receive a $185 ‘top-up’ payment in early September 2024. Eligible applicants were contacted by the Department of Education. Further information can be found HERE.
