Punctuality and Preparedness
At Mercedes College, we value a learning environment where every student is ready to engage from the very first moment of class. To support this, students are expected to arrive punctually and be fully prepared for each lesson.
Bags should be stored in lockers before Homeroom, with all materials needed for Periods 1 and 2 collected in advance. After Recess and Lunch, students must gather everything required for Periods 3–4 and 5–6 respectively. A warning siren will sound five minutes before the end of Recess and Lunch to allow time for preparation and movement to class.
Having all necessary books, stationery, and resources ready ensures lessons begin promptly and learning time is maximised.
