Opened at the start of 2025, the Learning Hub is a vibrant, purpose-built space at the heart of Mercedes College. Designed to inspire curiosity, collaboration, and independent learning, it offers students and staff a welcoming environment where ideas are explored, knowledge is shared, and growth is encouraged.
The Hub is a flexible, multi-use space that supports a wide range of learning styles and activities. Students use it for quiet study, group work, research, and reading, making it a central part of their daily learning experience. Its open design allows for seamless movement between focused concentration and collaborative engagement.
Located within the Hub are key resources that support student learning, including charging stations, printer facilities, and 3D printers. The space also houses our on-site ICT support team, who provide friendly, hands-on assistance to ensure students can access what they need with ease.
The Learning Hub is not only a student space, it also plays a vital role in staff development. As part of our Professional Growth Framework, it hosts coaching conversations, bite-sized professional learning sessions, and self-paced online development. A dedicated professional reading library supports ongoing reflection and growth for educators.
