Serisier's dominance in the pool continued as they took out the Interhouse Swimming Shield for the sixth year in a row.
The atmosphere at this year's swimming carnival for spectactors and participants was electric with the inclusion of two new houses - Cooper and Wright - commentations by the MCfm team, and the ground breaking move for media students to project live feeds straight onto the big screen, so that everyone could see the action. With the increased participants other changes included the introduction of pre-carnival events in 100 metre freestyle, which were conducted at the College, and the inclusion of an award for the winning House in the novelty events.
In the diving pool, the novelty competition provided lots of fun activities - boogie boarding, flipper and noodle races - while students cheered and encouraged their Houses to perform their best.
Congratulations to Serisier House, who won both the main event and the novelty shield. The final swimming results were as follows:
| Place | House | Points |
| 1st | Serisier | 1492 |
| 2nd | McDonald | 1418 |
| 3rd | Frayne | 1341 |
| 4th | Wright | 1309 |
| 5th | Cooper | 1194 |
| 6th | McAuley | 1112 |
