Walking the Red Carpet

On Wednesday 12 September, the red carpet was rolled out once again at the beautiful Cygnet Cinema for the Media department's annual HOFFS screening and awards night.

After months of filming, reshoots, editing and all the behind the scenes organisation and preparation, the House Film Festival had finally arrived.

Judging of the films was the closest in house film history, with McDonald's Lily O'Sullivan and her cast and crew winning the honour of Best Film 2012. The night also included a special screening of some of the best media production work from students in Year 9 to 12.

Other notable Felix (aka Oscar) winners were:

Best Supporting Actress: Jessica Kelly (Frayne) and Alice Lynch (McDonald)

Best Actress: Gabby Loo (McDonald)

Best Costume: Beth Litjens (McAuley)

Best Continuity: Olivia Cipriano (McAuley)

Best Publicist: Grace Durack (Frayne)

Best Music: Christine Roach (Serisier)

Best Assistant Director: Chelsea Davies (Frayne)

Best Cinematography: Carmel Mohen (McDonald)

Best On Location Sound: Laura Tassone (Serisier)

Best Lighting: Laura Cocks (McAuley)

Best Editing: Lily O'Sullivan (McDonald)
