On 21 April 2015, staff, student and parent representatives met for a day facilitated by Mr Brendan Spillane to commence work on the College's Future Plan for 2016 - 2019. Other smaller sessions were conducted throughout the year to review draft documentation culminating in the final version released to the College community at the start of the 2016 academic year. The vision is still aligned with three words - Aspire, Excel and Lead and is fully integrated with the Catholic Education's LEAD framework for strategic planning and Quality Catholic Schooling components. We were mindful of the importance of commencing implementation of this plan in 2016, the Year of Mercy and the College's 170th Anniversary.
At the heart of our Shared Vision are our College values – Compassion, Justice, Service, Excellence and Integrity – which are important to allow each of us as individuals to learn and grow as Mercy people. Living these values is at the very heart of our Community as we strive to live each day in the spirit and footsteps of Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, and Ursula Frayne, who led the first group of pioneer Sisters to Victoria Square in 1846.
