Pastoral Care at Mercedes College is centred on God embracing the spirit of Catherine McAuley.  Our Pastoral Care is concerned with maximising learning and growth, while developing the students’ values, attitudes, knowledge, skills and practices.  Our aim is to enable all to become inner directed, contributing members of God’s creation.

The life of every human person is seen to have a God given value and meaning which is enhanced at Mercedes with programmes, structures and specialist personnel.  Parents are the first educators of their daughters and Mercedes aims to assist them in their Catholic education and in meeting developmental needs throughout the high school years with pastoral care groups being organised horizontally in Year groups. 

A special emphasis is put on caring behaviour  in everyday
interactions throughout the Mercedes community.
