Students in Year 8 complete a compulsory one semester IT course which introduces the college network, appropriate internet/ICT use, and computer architecture. The course exposes students to graphic applications and interactive presentations, as well as provides them with the opportunity to development their own creative computer game. | Year 9 | | | Information Technology (Multimedia)
The Information Technology course in Year 9 provides students with the opportunity to use multimedia in a creative manner. Students learn to manipulate graphics, create websites and develop specialised MS Office skills. They also examine a range of social and ethical issues related to the use of IT. Business
This course exposes students to business and finance concepts which have a direct impact on their daily lives. They learn how to be wise consumers by examining topics such as banking, credit cards, borrowing, investing, budgeting, marketing and taxation. Students incorporate the use of technology into realistic business and finance tasks. They are taught the correct touch typing techniques and participate in the ASX Sharemarket game. |

In this course students acquire the skills to create their own still images and animations. Students learn more advanced computer architecture and programming principles through the design and control of Lego robotics. Business
This course familiarises students with elements of operating a small business in Australia including legislation, taxation, marketing and recordkeeping. Students are given the opportunity to simulate the decisions made by business owners by planning and operating their own small business at the College. | Year 11 | | | Accounting and Finance>
This course examines fundamental accounting principles and systems used to manage financial information in a business operated by a sole trader. Students learn to maintain business records manually and electronically; prepare and interpret reports; and make sound decisions based on the analysis of financial data. In this course students use a range of computer hardware and software to create, manipulate and communicate information suitable for personal, community and workplace needs. They learn good design principles and are taught how to prepare common business documents. |
