House Film Festival 2008 |

Our first ever House Film Festival will be held on Wednesday 17 September. Tickets are available from the Media room in Week 6 (week commencing 25 August) for cast and crew, and will be on sale for the general school community in Week 7. It promises to be an exciting night at Astor Cinema with all Houses competing for 'best film' after a year of hard work and determination by the House Film teams. Come and see what all the excitement is about by booking a ticket! Tickets for general admission are $15 for adults and $12.50 for students. You can also purchase your very own copy of the films on DVD at a special price of $15 if you buy before the night. Details are on the ticket booking sheet in the Media room. DVD's will also be sold for $20 on the night. Wine and cheese will be available for adults to purchase and the Candy Bar will be open for refreshments. Mercedes College Art Exhibition |

Coming up in Term 3, Week 7 is the Mercedes College Art Exhibition to be opened on Friday 5th September at 6:30pm in the Conference Centre on campus. This student exhibition showcases the creative talent of Art and Art and Design students from years eight to twelve. This social occasion will give you the opportunity to mix with students, teachers, parents and friends. Mrs Sheena Barber, our Principal, will be opening the exhibition. It will be a semi-formal occasion with beautiful music, courtesy of the Mercedes College String Ensemble. Drinks and nibbles will be provided. It will be an evening you will always remember.
