Congratulations to Year 11 student Isabella Martini who has won $500 for her poster design for the West Australian Young Readers' Book Award (WAYRBA).  Each year the WAYRBA committee publishes two lists of books, one for younger and one for older readers, and invites students to read and vote on them.  All of the books on the lists are nominated by students the previous year, and it is the only book award based soley on student recommendations and responses.  The winning authors each year are always pleased to receive an award based on the votes of their intended readership.  Bella's poster and bookmark design will be used to promote the award throughout 2008 in school and public libraries across Western Australia.
